This one started out with a little inspiration from Nichol Magouirk, specifically her die cut hearts using ribbon scraps (which you can check out &lt;a href="http://nicholmagouirk.typepad.com/things_that_really_matter/2012/01/january-studio-ae-from-technique-tuesday-blog-hop.html"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;). Then as I was making the card and finding myself using a bunch of lighter, spring colors, I figured we could make this challenge the Spring &amp;amp; Scraps challenge. Here's the card I put together...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QYxiwrcTbFU/T0WvawqpQQI/AAAAAAAAA3g/pZ4qGVjla7k/s1600/IMG_9530a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="247" lda="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QYxiwrcTbFU/T0WvawqpQQI/AAAAAAAAA3g/pZ4qGVjla7k/s320/IMG_9530a.jpg" width="320" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We've all got those ribbon scraps hanging around our crafty space, so why not use them up!! I layered a few different pieces onto some cardstock, then die cut them (I've done this with PTI dies without any problems). I used the Simple Circles border die and stamp set across the bottom and chose colors to coordinate with my ribbon scraps, which happened to all be very spring like colors if you ask me. Finished up the card with a birthday sentiment from Simple Sentiments (can never have too many birthday cards here) and a button tied with baker's twine adhered to my die cut shape. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So there's the challenge...use up those ribbon scraps or make a card using light, pastel, spring colors...or for extra credit, do both!! Since Spring is hopefully right around the corner (for those of us in the northern hemisphere anyway) I figured this is a good way to break those winter blues. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Have fun with this one and I can't wait to see what everyone makes!!&lt;br /&gt;Deb&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;script src="http://www.inlinkz.com/cs.php?id=129632" type="text/javascript"&gt;&lt;/script&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/184346911812399240-1436498639001701376?l=papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/feeds/1436498639001701376/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=184346911812399240&amp;postID=1436498639001701376&amp;isPopup=true' title='2 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/1436498639001701376'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/1436498639001701376'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/2012/02/spring-scraps.html' title='Spring &amp; Scraps'/><author><name>Deb</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/16388040980324701194</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='31' height='21' src='http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_lnM2HI_PB5U/S6FgLYOCvuI/AAAAAAAAAAg/lZjTktRAmUo/S220/IMG_2068.JPG'/></author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QYxiwrcTbFU/T0WvawqpQQI/AAAAAAAAA3g/pZ4qGVjla7k/s72-c/IMG_9530a.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>2</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-184346911812399240.post-3056686569292757699</id><published>2012-02-08T08:19:00.000-05:00</published><updated>2012-02-08T08:19:19.335-05:00</updated><title type='text'>The Maybe Next Time Challenge</title><content type='html'>Hi there, it's Kay. My turn to host the challenge, and I've got something a bit different. You don't even have to make a new project!&lt;br /&gt;Most of us at one time or another have submitted a project for publication, with, shall we say, less than stellar results.&lt;br /&gt;In my opinion, it takes a lot of courage to submit a project, you're putting yourself out there with the possibility of being rejected and all..... Or maybe that's just my fragile ego :-).&lt;br /&gt;So, your challenge is to share one (or more, if you wish) of those projects that was not selected for publication.&lt;br /&gt;If by chance you haven't submitted anything for publication, perhaps you have something that you thought about submitting, but missed the deadline, lost your nerve, didn't get around to it, whatever the reason, feel free to share that project.&lt;br /&gt;Here is my offering:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-p-hzFLIGzy8/TzJ1jys1MEI/AAAAAAAABJU/fp-sPtsMvS0/s1600/DSC_8752.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-p-hzFLIGzy8/TzJ1jys1MEI/AAAAAAAABJU/fp-sPtsMvS0/s400/DSC_8752.JPG" width="266" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;This was one of two that I submitted for the March/ April 2012 issue of Paper Crafts magazine.&lt;br /&gt;Poor little baby giraffe didn't make the cut...&lt;br /&gt;So, what are you waiting for? Show us your projects that deserve some lovin'.&lt;br /&gt;Details for my card can be found on my &lt;a href="http://willtradesleepforstamps.blogspot.com/2012/02/maybe-next-time.html"&gt;blog&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;!-- start InLinkz script --&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;script type="text/javascript"&gt; document.write('&lt;script type="text/javascript" src=http://www.inlinkz.com/cs.php?id=125132&amp;' + new Date().getTime() + '"&gt;&lt;\/script&gt;');&lt;/script&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;!-- end InLinkz script --&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/184346911812399240-3056686569292757699?l=papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/feeds/3056686569292757699/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=184346911812399240&amp;postID=3056686569292757699&amp;isPopup=true' title='2 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/3056686569292757699'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/3056686569292757699'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/2012/02/maybe-next-time-challenge.html' title='The Maybe Next Time Challenge'/><author><name>Kay</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/03319643159118797186</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='31' height='21' src='http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_L7ql2sTk23A/SYj2h96diVI/AAAAAAAAAAM/EZO_q76C_84/S220/DSC_0695.JPG'/></author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-p-hzFLIGzy8/TzJ1jys1MEI/AAAAAAAABJU/fp-sPtsMvS0/s72-c/DSC_8752.JPG' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>2</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-184346911812399240.post-6348062310237000183</id><published>2012-01-25T00:00:00.000-05:00</published><updated>2012-01-27T15:08:54.753-05:00</updated><title type='text'>Clean and Simple</title><content type='html'>I recently took the &lt;a href="http://www.onlinecardclasses.com/cleansimple/classinfo/"&gt;Clean and Simple course&lt;/a&gt; at &lt;a href="http://www.onlinecardclasses.com/"&gt;OnlineCardClasses.com&lt;/a&gt; and thought I would carry the theme over to the new &lt;a href="http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/"&gt;Papertrey Playhouse&lt;/a&gt; challenge.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;The Challenge:&lt;/b&gt; Create a card using only &lt;i&gt;3 decorative elements&lt;/i&gt;, not including the card base (or sentiment, if applicable).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For &lt;a href="http://glimmercraft.blogspot.com/2012/01/papertrey-playhouse-my-cas-challenge.html"&gt;my card&lt;/a&gt;, I used a strip of patterned paper, a Spellbinders die and a pearl heart.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xaM8hswdEew/Tx9F_XJvpeI/AAAAAAAADps/RaKmu4zpUJ0/s1600/IMG_7928edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="303" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xaM8hswdEew/Tx9F_XJvpeI/AAAAAAAADps/RaKmu4zpUJ0/s400/IMG_7928edit.jpg" width="400" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hope you'll play along! Actually, it's just an opening cut in a card front using a die. I'm sure there's a better term for it but I'm sticking with mine :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here's my card:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8LNvABN4SfU/Tw5uLt6RpAI/AAAAAAAAEgM/OZaYVBPM2jo/s1600/snowman3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8LNvABN4SfU/Tw5uLt6RpAI/AAAAAAAAEgM/OZaYVBPM2jo/s400/snowman3.jpg" width="331" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;I used Mat Stack 1 to cut my opening and then stamped&amp;nbsp;the snowman from Friendship Jar Holiday Fillers in the opening. He was stamped a second time on white, cut out and paper pieced. To the front of the card, I stamped the dangly snowflake image a couple of times across the top edge of the card using white ink. Patterned paper is from the Happy Spots pack. I hand cut the rolling hills from the paper and machine stitched them to the card, with the top edge of the hills overlapping my window cut out a little.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;A little prisma glitter on the flakes (and inside the card on the snowballs at the base of the snowman) finishes off this card - ready to send to a friend on a cold, snowy day. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;So the challenge is to use a die and create an opening of some sort on your card. It doesn't necessarily have to be a window for an image to look through - you might use an image die and back it from inside the card with patterned paper. Play around and see what you can come up with and then link up here.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;Happy New Year everyone!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;script type="text/javascript"&gt; document.write('&lt;script type="text/javascript" src=http://www.inlinkz.com/cs.php?id=116444&amp;' + new Date().getTime() + '"&gt;&lt;\/script&gt;');&lt;/script&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/184346911812399240-6132396575369461713?l=papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/feeds/6132396575369461713/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=184346911812399240&amp;postID=6132396575369461713&amp;isPopup=true' title='5 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/6132396575369461713'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/6132396575369461713'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/2012/01/die-cut-negatives.html' title='Die Cut Negatives'/><author><name>Mary</name><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='25' height='32' src='http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_gFSrMi5_B7w/SsGBqOUuyLI/AAAAAAAABFA/nI8vMCFA-OU/S220/blog+me+bw.jpg'/></author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8LNvABN4SfU/Tw5uLt6RpAI/AAAAAAAAEgM/OZaYVBPM2jo/s72-c/snowman3.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>5</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-184346911812399240.post-3190398286957129218</id><published>2011-11-30T08:26:00.002-05:00</published><updated>2011-11-30T10:54:07.307-05:00</updated><title type='text'>Faux Mass Production</title><content type='html'>I don't like to mass produce cards. There, I said it. Four is about my limit before I start to get bored with it. Certainly, I understand the value of mass production, assembly line style is a great way to save time. That's just not fun for me, though, and since making cards is supposed to be fun.....&lt;br /&gt;Well anyway, here's one way I use the benefits of mass production and the creative fun of unique cards to help me get my Christmas cards done. Forgive the hokey title, I didn't know what else to call it. {grin}&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Q6XVGTDxBvg/TtYqMpGh6QI/AAAAAAAABD0/rQqv9--nmCY/s1600/Papertrey%2BPlayhouse-%2BFaux%2BMass%2BProduction-%2B1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Q6XVGTDxBvg/TtYqMpGh6QI/AAAAAAAABD0/rQqv9--nmCY/s400/Papertrey%2BPlayhouse-%2BFaux%2BMass%2BProduction-%2B1.JPG" width="268" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hre's the card that I started with. I made two of these; I can do cards in pairs without getting bored. {grin again}&lt;br /&gt;So, if you're like me, you have all different sorts of people on your Christmas card list, and as a result, they have preferences for traditional, or whimsical, or vintage, or whatever.&lt;br /&gt;By changing just the colors on the card above, I made another pair of cards in non-traditional colors.:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LDTn0Wcb9iM/TtYrKFIUiwI/AAAAAAAABD8/2QiHn7wYG6M/s1600/Papertrey+Playhouse-+Faux+Mass+Production-+3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LDTn0Wcb9iM/TtYrKFIUiwI/AAAAAAAABD8/2QiHn7wYG6M/s400/Papertrey+Playhouse-+Faux+Mass+Production-+3.JPG" width="267" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;Keeping the same layout, I changed out the colors, the diecut word, and the ribbon, to create a pair of vintage cards, as shown in the next photo:&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IHwFeFvmwAo/TtYr8rviZGI/AAAAAAAABEM/wgT_LKoL3Dc/s1600/Papertrey+Playhouse-+Faux+Mass+Production-+4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IHwFeFvmwAo/TtYr8rviZGI/AAAAAAAABEM/wgT_LKoL3Dc/s400/Papertrey+Playhouse-+Faux+Mass+Production-+4.JPG" width="267" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;Just as a side note on the above card, "peace" was cut from felt instead of cardstock, to help with the vintage feel.&lt;br /&gt;One more time, for the people that prefer a more rustic card- again, just changing out colors and an embellishment or two. I made a pair of these also.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TF_V8gFwcRc/TtYsxxuDUaI/AAAAAAAABEU/oKUXDB8NVEk/s1600/Papertrey+Playhouse-+Faux+Mass+Production-+6.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TF_V8gFwcRc/TtYsxxuDUaI/AAAAAAAABEU/oKUXDB8NVEk/s400/Papertrey+Playhouse-+Faux+Mass+Production-+6.JPG" width="261" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;From this one basic layout, I got four styles of cards, a total of eight cards completed, and even I managed to complete these in one day.&lt;br /&gt;If you've managed to make it all the way through this, I'm assuming you're ready for your challenge.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Start with a design you love, whether it's a new creation, or one of your favorites from your stash that you just can't bear to part with. Then, just change out colors or whatever, keeping the same basic layout. Have FUN with it, that is ultimately what it's all about.&lt;br /&gt;One more thing- if you happened to have finished your Christmas cards (and if you have, give yourself a big pat on the back), feel free to try this on any other type of card.&lt;br /&gt;Supply lists for these cards can be found on &lt;a href="http://willtradesleepforstamps.blogspot.com/2011/11/faux-mass-production.html"&gt;my blog&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;script type="text/javascript"&gt; document.write('&lt;script type="text/javascript" src=http://www.inlinkz.com/cs.php?id=105162&amp;' + new Date().getTime() + '"&gt;&lt;\/script&gt;');&lt;/script&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/184346911812399240-3190398286957129218?l=papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/feeds/3190398286957129218/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=184346911812399240&amp;postID=3190398286957129218&amp;isPopup=true' title='3 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/3190398286957129218'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/3190398286957129218'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/2011/11/faux-mass-production.html' title='Faux Mass Production'/><author><name>Kay</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/03319643159118797186</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='31' height='21' src='http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_L7ql2sTk23A/SYj2h96diVI/AAAAAAAAAAM/EZO_q76C_84/S220/DSC_0695.JPG'/></author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Q6XVGTDxBvg/TtYqMpGh6QI/AAAAAAAABD0/rQqv9--nmCY/s72-c/Papertrey%2BPlayhouse-%2BFaux%2BMass%2BProduction-%2B1.JPG' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>3</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-184346911812399240.post-2678853052543293509</id><published>2011-11-16T23:51:00.001-05:00</published><updated>2011-11-16T23:52:47.474-05:00</updated><title type='text'>You're Invited</title><content type='html'>Hi all - time for me to post a new challenge!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I thought since the holidays are a time for parties and get-togethers, creating an invitation would be a timely challenge.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here is one I created:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qcrqm7xIZng/TsSQeOmiM3I/AAAAAAAAETI/zKc17_dMwPg/s1600/invite.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qcrqm7xIZng/TsSQeOmiM3I/AAAAAAAAETI/zKc17_dMwPg/s400/invite.jpg" width="301" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I used a few different sets to create this scene. The snowflakes are from Winter Swirls, the door is from Home Made, the trees are from the Friendship Jar Holiday Fillers and finally the tiny "you're invited" is from Tiny Tags. Everything was colored with Copics and the door panels were distressed with the clear blender Copic to create a wood-like texture in the coloring.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have another invitation posted at &lt;a href="http://momentsofyourheart.blogspot.com/"&gt;Moments of Your Heart&lt;/a&gt; using the Table Service set. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I can't wait to see what you come up with. It's Victoria here with the next challenge. I don't know about you, but Fall is my favorite season. I love the colors of the turning leaves, the smells, the fading light, the crisp air--everything. I also love the Halloween and Thanksgiving holidays that Fall welcomes, and the sense of anticipation that Christmas will soon follow.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As I was contemplating what I would do for this challenge, I decided to pay a visit to &lt;a href="http://pinterest.com/"&gt;Pinterest&lt;/a&gt;. Although I got an invite for it months ago, I have yet to set it up, so I was really happy to see that I could still browse the images without having to go ahead and finalize my log in! I decided to search for Fall/Autumn, and this is one of the images that came up:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-F1bXrd4fIFs/Tp9wyfTAE6I/AAAAAAAAAu4/6B8RLNOgo3Y/s1600/First%2BSnowfall%2Bin%2BDuluth.jpg"&gt;&lt;img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5665370868952339362" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-F1bXrd4fIFs/Tp9wyfTAE6I/AAAAAAAAAu4/6B8RLNOgo3Y/s320/First%2BSnowfall%2Bin%2BDuluth.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; display: block; height: 320px; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; width: 216px;" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;It's titled "First Snowfall in Duluth." I just thought it was really pretty, and provides the perfect depiction of changing seasons. Your challenge is relatively straightforward: make a project for fall or winter. If you're like me and not quite ready to let go of Fall yet, you can make something for the harvest season. Or, if you're really on top of things and ready to move into the holiday season, go for it and knock a card or other project off your list!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here is the card I made for the challenge:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fBJK60gVAIg/Tp9yTchTdNI/AAAAAAAAAvE/p9shAuI2FHA/s1600/Fall%2BBirches.jpg"&gt;&lt;img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5665372534654334162" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fBJK60gVAIg/Tp9yTchTdNI/AAAAAAAAAvE/p9shAuI2FHA/s320/Fall%2BBirches.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; display: block; height: 320px; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; width: 235px;" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;Thanks for stopping by! I hope you can play along!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div id="wpImg93791"&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.inlinkz.com/wpview.php?id=93791"&gt;&lt;img src="http://www.inlinkz.com/wpImg.php?id=93791" style="border: 0px currentColor;" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;script src="http://www.inlinkz.com/cs.php?id=93791" type="text/javascript"&gt;&lt;/script&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/184346911812399240-5215558308095276684?l=papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/feeds/5215558308095276684/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=184346911812399240&amp;postID=5215558308095276684&amp;isPopup=true' title='2 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/5215558308095276684'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/5215558308095276684'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/2011/10/season-of-changes.html' title='Season of Changes'/><author><name>Victoria</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/17374950294646852947</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='21' height='32' src='http://bp1.blogger.com/_ChIlAXbLSwQ/SBX4cXM58oI/AAAAAAAAAA8/26VokjyERB4/S220/Victoria+Blog+Pic.jpg'/></author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-F1bXrd4fIFs/Tp9wyfTAE6I/AAAAAAAAAu4/6B8RLNOgo3Y/s72-c/First%2BSnowfall%2Bin%2BDuluth.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>2</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-184346911812399240.post-353848702963042422</id><published>2011-09-28T23:39:00.000-04:00</published><updated>2011-09-28T23:39:42.438-04:00</updated><title type='text'>Use It Challenge - Weeks 3 &amp; 4: Dies</title><content type='html'>&lt;a href="http://glimmercraft.blogspot.com/"&gt;Dana&lt;/a&gt; back with Part 2: Weeks 3 &amp;amp; 4 of my "Use It" challenge. Weeks 1 &amp; 2: Stamps</title><content type='html'>Hello there and welcome to another Papertrey Playhouse challenge! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;a href="http://glimmercraft.blogspot.com/"&gt;Dana&lt;/a&gt; here with the first of 2 "use it" challenges that will encourage us to USE those dusty Papertrey items! I don't just mean items that haven't been used in awhile. I mean those items that have NEVER been used!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's a crying shame, really... We spend all that money on those fabulous gotta-have-'em stamps and then get swept up in the next PTI release before we even use the stamps we just got!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This isn't a unique challenge idea... I've played in stuff like this before. I determined, however, that I had used at least one stamp from 85% of my PTI stamp sets (not too bad, if you ask me!) and I'd really like to take care of that last 15%...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PLaif3F8v9s/TnA9W5b3QHI/AAAAAAAADEA/4iAkk2dF1Pg/s1600/IMG_7353edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="390" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PLaif3F8v9s/TnA9W5b3QHI/AAAAAAAADEA/4iAkk2dF1Pg/s400/IMG_7353edit.jpg" width="400" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This project managed to use 2 never-before-used stamp sets: Bundle of Love and Mini Scrapbook Series: Tabs. The sentiment had also never been used before (Bitty Baby Blessings). My cloud stamps, however, have had plenty of use! (You can get more details on my card &lt;a href="http://glimmercraft.blogspot.com/2011/09/use-it-challenges-at-papertrey.html"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Although multiples occur more frequently nowadays, this is my first time getting to make a card for twins! So excited!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, if you actually &lt;i&gt;have &lt;/i&gt;used every PTI stamp you own, then fabulous! (But seriously?? Every stamp in every stamp set?!?&amp;nbsp; ;)&amp;nbsp; )&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; As an alternative, you can give an old set some love. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, you have two weeks to ink up stamps from a set that has never been used! After that time, I'll have one more "use it" challenge. (Hope you don't get tired of me; I'm just filling in a gap in the schedule...&amp;nbsp; ;) )&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div id="wpImg83723"&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.inlinkz.com/wpview.php?id=83723"&gt;&lt;img src="http://www.inlinkz.com/wpImg.php?id=83723" style="border: 0px;" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;script src="http://www.inlinkz.com/cs.php?id=83723" type="text/javascript"&gt;&lt;/script&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/184346911812399240-4218989990275617059?l=papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/feeds/4218989990275617059/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=184346911812399240&amp;postID=4218989990275617059&amp;isPopup=true' title='2 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/4218989990275617059'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/4218989990275617059'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/2011/09/month-long-use-it-challenge-weeks-1-2.html' title='Month-Long Use-It Challenge! So often I see something that makes me go "I wouldn't have thought of that!" and I really like the result.&amp;nbsp; I chose to use this same idea for our latest challenge.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I managed to create similar tags for everyone in the group (did you notice your tag featured your favorite color?) and even mailed them out early so they'd arrive in time for this challenge.&amp;nbsp; I was so proud of myself for thinking ahead.&amp;nbsp; And I just realized I didn't take any pictures or scans of a single one of them before they were embellished.&amp;nbsp; *sigh*&amp;nbsp; It's always something.&amp;nbsp; :)&amp;nbsp; Hopefully we'll have several participants so you can get an idea of the "base" item everyone had to work with.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Each group member received a manilla tag, with stitching around the the edge.&amp;nbsp; An original Friendship Jar stamped off the edge and different PTI papers in a banner and circle with a smidge of fabric tape over them.&amp;nbsp; I also added a little bit of lace tape at the top for some texture.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hyidXSaZMlo/TlGuf0DPl4I/AAAAAAAAAdA/wfNk1B-sjsQ/s1600/berry+lemonade.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hyidXSaZMlo/TlGuf0DPl4I/AAAAAAAAAdA/wfNk1B-sjsQ/s400/berry+lemonade.jpg" width="262" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;I had no ideas in mind for what I wanted to create for my card when I was making these tags.&amp;nbsp; And I actually haven't even had a chance to play with it until the Sunday prior to posting the challenge.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sitting at my desk, watching tv I just let myself play.&amp;nbsp; I gravitated immediately to all of the Friendship Jar series of stamps.&amp;nbsp; I die cut and stamped the pint jar on a scrap of grid patterned paper.&amp;nbsp; I used a masking technique to add the "berry lemonade" to it.&amp;nbsp; I also added the strawberry from the newest set and colored it with my Copics.&amp;nbsp; More masking magic to add the polka dot filler to the original jar and some ice cubes.&amp;nbsp; Straws were added to both jars and colored with more Copics.&amp;nbsp; I die cut one of the new Tiny Labels and used a single word from 2 different sentiments to add the wording to it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Some October Afternoon paper for the background with stitching to match the tag, seam binding in the hole and a little doily peeking out from around the bottom.&amp;nbsp; All in all, this one says summer to me.&amp;nbsp; And with so many dealing with back to school and all it entails, a last little salute to summer seemed in order.&amp;nbsp; Hope you enjoy this.&amp;nbsp; And I really hope you'll be able to play along.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.blenza.com/linkies/autolink.php?owner=mbryt1&amp;postid=24Aug2011"&gt;&lt;/script&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/184346911812399240-657105768619822839?l=papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/feeds/657105768619822839/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=184346911812399240&amp;postID=657105768619822839&amp;isPopup=true' title='3 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/657105768619822839'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/657105768619822839'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/2011/08/same-tag-challenge.html' title='Same Tag Challenge'/><author><name>Krista</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/02027331744116626237</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='32' height='23' src='http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2pRfb6rpBW0/Tvv_O6KI8BI/AAAAAAAAApE/Nae7W3uw9tI/s220/RCP%2BLogo%2Bsmall%2B2%2Bjpg.jpg'/></author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hyidXSaZMlo/TlGuf0DPl4I/AAAAAAAAAdA/wfNk1B-sjsQ/s72-c/berry+lemonade.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>3</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-184346911812399240.post-5025146823865621913</id><published>2011-08-10T12:39:00.000-04:00</published><updated>2011-08-10T12:39:06.542-04:00</updated><title type='text'>Halloween or Fall Themes</title><content type='html'>Hi all!! I am up next with hosting the challenge here at the Papertrey Playhouse!! It has been a busy few weeks for me and I was sadly not able to play with the Christmas challenge, but I thought that was a great idea to get a jump start on all of the upcoming holidays!! So since the next big holiday here in the US is halloween, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to start making my halloween gifts for my co-workers!! Here's what I came up with...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vGAk_TZkCOo/TkKxD7WN9nI/AAAAAAAAAn8/sI1hRKieb6U/s1600/IMG_3455a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="400" naa="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vGAk_TZkCOo/TkKxD7WN9nI/AAAAAAAAAn8/sI1hRKieb6U/s400/IMG_3455a.jpg" width="296" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Please check out all the details over at my &lt;a href="http://sideshowdeb.blogspot.com/2011/08/halloween.html"&gt;blog&lt;/a&gt; on supplies used!! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So the challenge: Make a Halloween or Fall Themed card, layout, or other project!! Link it up below!! I can't wait to see what you create!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Deb&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;!-- start InLinkz script --&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.inlinkz.com/cs.php?id=74894"&gt;&lt;/script&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;!-- end InLinkz script --&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/184346911812399240-5025146823865621913?l=papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/feeds/5025146823865621913/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=184346911812399240&amp;postID=5025146823865621913&amp;isPopup=true' title='2 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/5025146823865621913'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/5025146823865621913'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/2011/08/halloween-or-fall-themes.html' title='Halloween or Fall Themes'/><author><name>Deb</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/16388040980324701194</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='31' height='21' src='http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_lnM2HI_PB5U/S6FgLYOCvuI/AAAAAAAAAAg/lZjTktRAmUo/S220/IMG_2068.JPG'/></author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vGAk_TZkCOo/TkKxD7WN9nI/AAAAAAAAAn8/sI1hRKieb6U/s72-c/IMG_3455a.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>2</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-184346911812399240.post-2522691868068947367</id><published>2011-07-27T18:01:00.005-04:00</published><updated>2011-07-27T20:14:17.714-04:00</updated><title type='text'>Christmas in July Challenge!</title><content type='html'>&lt;span style="font-size:180%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:lucida grande;"&gt;........ only 149 days until Christmas!!!!!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span style="font-family:lucida grande;"&gt;Yes , that's right it may seem like a long way away but if you plan on making family and friends handmade cards this year NOW is the time to get organized. I usually pop in once and a while for rhinestones or pearls but the rest go largely ignored.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I remember when I realized that I preferred to make my own embellishments rather than buy them. I did a massive purge to get rid of so many things!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Still, as a papercrafter, there really are sooo many wonderful embellies that one cannot pass by at the local scrapbooking store.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I decided to challenge myself, and anyone else interested, to use up an embellishment that has been sitting around gathering dust.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The mantra I used for this project was &lt;i&gt;"Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue."&lt;/i&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; ;) &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kSHD9_6q8E0/ThtkCJ6_uaI/AAAAAAAAC3U/1cMfpWt5uD4/s1600/IMG_7110edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="311" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kSHD9_6q8E0/ThtkCJ6_uaI/AAAAAAAAC3U/1cMfpWt5uD4/s400/IMG_7110edit.jpg" width="400" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: xx-small;"&gt;(click on picture to get a better look)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;That cute little bee embellishment survived my purge and was the inspiration for this card.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;i&gt;Something Old:&lt;/i&gt; The sentiment is from Vintage Picnic Sentiments, a stamp set I purchased on one of my first PTI orders.&amp;nbsp; :D&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;i&gt;Something New: &lt;/i&gt;I defined this as something I hadn't used before. Aside from the bee embellishment, the Picnic Plaid impression plate hadn't seen my Cuttlebug yet.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;i&gt;Something Borrowed:&lt;/i&gt; My friend, neighbor and PTI buddy, Stefanie, lent me her Friendship Jar Spring Fillers stamp set.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;i&gt;Something Blue:&lt;/i&gt; I used PTI's Blueberry Sky cardstock.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;(A full supply list can be found on my blog, &lt;a href="http://glimmercraft.blogspot.com/"&gt;Aspiring to Creativity&lt;/a&gt;.) &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;Now it's your turn!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: left;"&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;b&gt;The Challenge:&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/u&gt; Root through your existing, and perhaps decaying, embellishments to find something that inspires you! This just slipped up on me before I realized...&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, on to the challenge. I recently needed to make quite a few thank you cards to thank the generosity of those that gave my son graduation gifts. As I settled on one particular design, I couldn't make up my mind which color to use, so you know what that means- make an ENTIRE set!&lt;br /&gt;Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to make one (or more, if you're feeling froggy) thank you card. You just never know when you're going to need a thank you card....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UW45ndO4TVI/TfoRRp9UcRI/AAAAAAAAA68/sm8gHAPETQs/s1600/DSC_7275.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="268" width="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UW45ndO4TVI/TfoRRp9UcRI/AAAAAAAAA68/sm8gHAPETQs/s400/DSC_7275.JPG" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gYolJw_JwnM/TfoRR1PtA_I/AAAAAAAAA7E/K3noQnLEE1o/s1600/DSC_7278.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="268" width="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gYolJw_JwnM/TfoRR1PtA_I/AAAAAAAAA7E/K3noQnLEE1o/s400/DSC_7278.JPG" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xfm-yJkUti0/TfoRSBP8xFI/AAAAAAAAA7M/8M5-3icU66E/s1600/DSC_7280.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="268" width="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xfm-yJkUti0/TfoRSBP8xFI/AAAAAAAAA7M/8M5-3icU66E/s400/DSC_7280.JPG" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;I hope you get the chance to play along; I know how busy EVERYONE is (me included), and sometimes it's difficult to have some time for yourself.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;!-- start InLinkz script --&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.inlinkz.com/cs.php?id=61514"&gt;&lt;/script&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;!-- end InLinkz script --&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/184346911812399240-5373270342795221639?l=papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/feeds/5373270342795221639/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=184346911812399240&amp;postID=5373270342795221639&amp;isPopup=true' title='9 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/5373270342795221639'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/5373270342795221639'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/2011/06/thank-you-challenge.html' title='A Thank You Challenge'/><author><name>Kay</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/03319643159118797186</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='31' height='21' src='http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_L7ql2sTk23A/SYj2h96diVI/AAAAAAAAAAM/EZO_q76C_84/S220/DSC_0695.JPG'/></author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UW45ndO4TVI/TfoRRp9UcRI/AAAAAAAAA68/sm8gHAPETQs/s72-c/DSC_7275.JPG' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>9</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-184346911812399240.post-5841212067628868438</id><published>2011-06-01T07:00:00.003-04:00</published><updated>2011-06-01T14:29:34.869-04:00</updated><title type='text'>Rediscover one of your FIRST stamp sets</title><content type='html'>I came up with this challenge a few days ago! I realized that I hadn't inked up either of the sets from my very FIRST Papertrey Ink order in quite some time and I wanted to get them out and clean off all the dust!! HA!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So with that the challenge was born: &lt;em&gt;think back to your first PTI order...what did you get? Chose at least one of those stamp sets and break them out again...get them inky again!!&lt;/em&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I decided to make a scrapbook page for this challenge, mainly because I have been doing a lot of scrapbooking lately. That was what got me into papercrafting...cardmaking came later, naturally. But I have gotten back to my 'roots' so to speak lately, and I love how easily it is to use PTI products in scrapbooking as well as cardmaking!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FnuPor9Yt7E/TeWmdW5uBMI/AAAAAAAAAh4/Y7J1Qym2wOE/s1600/IMG_3293a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FnuPor9Yt7E/TeWmdW5uBMI/AAAAAAAAAh4/Y7J1Qym2wOE/s400/IMG_3293a.jpg" t8="true" width="400" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Feel free to check out my &lt;a href="http://sideshowdeb.blogspot.com/2011/06/papertrey-playhouse-challenge.html"&gt;blog&lt;/a&gt; for more photos and details! Grab your dies and layer at least 2 different shapes to create a mat for your focal image. If you don't have PTI dies - well, why not?? LOL - you can use any mat shapes layered together.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here is my sample:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-O6a0sg0nBF4/TdM678i_DhI/AAAAAAAADms/Lpxl06abUrY/s1600/mat+2a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="322" j8="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-O6a0sg0nBF4/TdM678i_DhI/AAAAAAAADms/Lpxl06abUrY/s400/mat+2a.jpg" width="400" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I used Mat Stack 2 stamps for my focal image and 3 dies - Mat Stack 2, Mat Stack 1 and Mat Stack 5. Paper is Pacific Vineyard. Bottom edge was die cut with a border die from another company - shhhh. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now let's see what you can do! Just link up your post below. The Royal wedding is this Friday 29th April 2011. Everybody is talking about the wedding and about parties and celebrations. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;I thought it would be fun to have our very own Royal Wedding challenge. This means that your project should be in various shades of the same color.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As a bonus, it would be wonderful, but not mandatory, for you to use one of the techniques that Papertrey has demonstrated in their &lt;a href="http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/make-it-monday/"&gt;Make It Monday&lt;/a&gt; series.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here is my sample:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Rb0pto4nmnA/TaTivPIbQjI/AAAAAAAACtE/qEKIEvnLDyk/s1600/IMG_6641edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Rb0pto4nmnA/TaTivPIbQjI/AAAAAAAACtE/qEKIEvnLDyk/s400/IMG_6641edit.jpg" width="326" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Okay, so I DID cheat. Just a little! I couldn't resist adding the Yellow Liquid Pearls right at the end...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, if you must, you may cheat as well... But just a little! ;)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The techniques that I've used from PREVIOUS Papertrey Make It Mondays are: a) impressing on part of the cardstock (my A7 was too big for the impression plate and so I made it work!), and b) Copic coloring on colored cardstock. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thanks for playing with us!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;img src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54488/357/6A0E0AF07F01C23A05E6A4107A1715E4.png" style="background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent; border: 0pt none ! important;" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;script src="http://www.inlinkz.com/cs.php?id=46726" type="text/javascript"&gt;&lt;/script&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/184346911812399240-3196487309684334418?l=papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/feeds/3196487309684334418/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=184346911812399240&amp;postID=3196487309684334418&amp;isPopup=true' title='2 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/3196487309684334418'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/3196487309684334418'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/2011/04/monochromatic-challenge.html' title='(Mostly) Monochromatic Challenge'/><author><name>Dana Nelson</name><uri>https://profiles.google.com/117521071455409558530</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='32' height='32' src='//lh5.googleusercontent.com/-oEaw9DHogp0/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAADr4/1nnOLv8GIF8/s512-c/photo.jpg'/></author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Rb0pto4nmnA/TaTivPIbQjI/AAAAAAAACtE/qEKIEvnLDyk/s72-c/IMG_6641edit.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>2</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-184346911812399240.post-6206345725510393026</id><published>2011-03-30T10:15:00.003-04:00</published><updated>2011-06-01T14:30:30.499-04:00</updated><title type='text'>What's Old Is New and Embossing</title><content type='html'>Hello!! I am here with the next challenge!! I had such a hard time deciding what the challenge should be, that I came up with two!! I remember a few Papertrey Blog Hops ago, we were challenged to ink up a stamp that hadn't seen any ink for a while, and I thought that would be a great challenge to visit again. Then, as my project came together, I found myself doing a lot of heat embossing! So your challenge is to ink up a stamp set that hasn't had much love lately, do some heat embossing, or both!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here's what I came up with...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gfyGzJ7yH0U/TZM6ccHitII/AAAAAAAAAbU/c5UkbucEifQ/s1600/IMG_3151a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="400" r6="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gfyGzJ7yH0U/TZM6ccHitII/AAAAAAAAAbU/c5UkbucEifQ/s400/IMG_3151a.jpg" width="283" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I broke out my Turning a New Leaf stamp set for the leaves and my Through The Trees set for the sentiment. I haven't used either in quite some time! And everything is heat embossed using white embossing powder. Then I added some pink gemstones for added interest, and to help break up the gray and white! It just needed some color!! You can find out more at my &lt;a href="http://sideshowdeb.blogspot.com/2011/03/papertrey-playhouse-challenge-xs-2.html"&gt;blog&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am looking forward to see what everyone comes up with!!&lt;br /&gt;Deb&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;script src="http://www.inlinkz.com/cs.php?id=43696"&gt;&lt;/script&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/184346911812399240-6206345725510393026?l=papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/feeds/6206345725510393026/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=184346911812399240&amp;postID=6206345725510393026&amp;isPopup=true' title='4 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/6206345725510393026'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/6206345725510393026'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/2011/03/whats-old-is-new-and-embossing.html' title='What&apos;s Old Is New and Embossing'/><author><name>Deb</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/16388040980324701194</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='31' height='21' src='http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_lnM2HI_PB5U/S6FgLYOCvuI/AAAAAAAAAAg/lZjTktRAmUo/S220/IMG_2068.JPG'/></author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gfyGzJ7yH0U/TZM6ccHitII/AAAAAAAAAbU/c5UkbucEifQ/s72-c/IMG_3151a.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>4</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-184346911812399240.post-7250243387702909298</id><published>2011-03-16T08:26:00.002-04:00</published><updated>2011-03-17T09:05:08.792-04:00</updated><title type='text'>It's Your Season Challenge</title><content type='html'>Good morning and Happy Wednesday to all of you out there!&lt;br /&gt;If you're like me, you've grown a wee bit tired of Mother Nature's indecisiveness over what season it will be from one day to the next. I want Spring to get here, and stay here. Spring is my favorite season.&lt;br /&gt;That leads us to the challenge.&lt;br /&gt;Make a project- card, altered item, treat box, whatever you want to make that represents YOUR favorite season.&lt;br /&gt;Here is my card representing Spring:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; Now with the holidays behind us and the new year settling in hopefully we're all able to spend some quality time with our stamps, inks, embellishments, papers and more.&amp;nbsp; There were some really good challenges here on our blog and at Papertrey Ink the last couple of months.&amp;nbsp; These challenges got me thinking when it was time for me to post our next challenge here.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And I decided to give all of us a second chance at participating in one of the challenges that we weren't able to play along with the first time.&amp;nbsp; Choose one of the challenges from our blog or the PTI blog hops that were posted between November &amp;amp; February.&amp;nbsp; You've got a second chance to actually MAKE the card you thought about and post it here.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm off to decide which one I want a second chance at.&amp;nbsp; I'm kind of torn between the stamped background challenge, the treat container challenge and the scallop challenge.&amp;nbsp; Will have to think if there's a way to do all 3 in one project.........&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'll be posting my creation soon.&amp;nbsp; Looking forward to seeing which challenge you want a second chance at.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-6fAaSiykSAk/TW8fYyZG1BI/AAAAAAAAARg/CFrzBpnC_FE/s1600/DSC_0002a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; I'd love to see what others can come up with for this!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-isEr3BSqv-Q/TVa_n91aV1I/AAAAAAAACiY/vxZTm6XH5fc/s1600/IMG_6345edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-isEr3BSqv-Q/TVa_n91aV1I/AAAAAAAACiY/vxZTm6XH5fc/s400/IMG_6345edit.jpg" width="296" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: xx-small;"&gt;My 1-1/2 yr old daughter with a crazy hair moment.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So the challenge is to use the following colors in a creation:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Orange Zest&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Raspberry Fizz&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Hibiscus Burst&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Dark Chocolate&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Spring Moss&lt;/b&gt; or &lt;b&gt;Simply Chartreuse&lt;/b&gt; (the green in the fabric is a shade exactly between these two colors!)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;As a bonus, you could even add &lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;buttons&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt; and &lt;i&gt;&lt;b&gt;crimped/corrugated paper&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/i&gt; (the words are made with corduroy fabric). &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here's my take on this challenge:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TEbASC3JNm4/TVtO1QupycI/AAAAAAAACis/IFXu3YgHbEk/s1600/IMG_6410edit.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TEbASC3JNm4/TVtO1QupycI/AAAAAAAACis/IFXu3YgHbEk/s400/IMG_6410edit.jpg" width="366" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hope you have fun with this!! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.mylivesignature.com/" target="_blank"&gt;&lt;img src="http://signatures.mylivesignature.com/54488/357/6A0E0AF07F01C23A05E6A4107A1715E4.png" style="background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent; border: 0pt none ! important;" /&gt; &lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;script src="http://www.inlinkz.com/cs.php?id=35213"&gt;&lt;/script&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/184346911812399240-2683215877728649086?l=papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/feeds/2683215877728649086/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=184346911812399240&amp;postID=2683215877728649086&amp;isPopup=true' title='3 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/2683215877728649086'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/2683215877728649086'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/2011/02/color-inspiration-challenge.html' title='Color Inspiration Challenge'/><author><name>Dana Nelson</name><uri>https://profiles.google.com/117521071455409558530</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='32' height='32' src='//lh5.googleusercontent.com/-oEaw9DHogp0/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAADr4/1nnOLv8GIF8/s512-c/photo.jpg'/></author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-isEr3BSqv-Q/TVa_n91aV1I/AAAAAAAACiY/vxZTm6XH5fc/s72-c/IMG_6345edit.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>3</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-184346911812399240.post-6051034473574461854</id><published>2011-02-02T13:21:00.000-05:00</published><updated>2011-02-02T13:21:01.998-05:00</updated><title type='text'>Sketch challenge</title><content type='html'>Time for a new challenge and this time around I opted to create a sketch based on a beautiful card by the talented Betsy Veldman. Here is the card I saw on her &lt;a href="http://scrapbookgirl.typepad.com/paper_scissors_and_superh/"&gt;blog&lt;/a&gt; and the sketch follows:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_gFSrMi5_B7w/TUmdjqEIUTI/AAAAAAAADVU/KZ0OojY1_Cw/s1600/untitled.bmp" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" s5="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_gFSrMi5_B7w/TUmdjqEIUTI/AAAAAAAADVU/KZ0OojY1_Cw/s1600/untitled.bmp" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_gFSrMi5_B7w/TUmdndelgqI/AAAAAAAADVY/HaPazAj7iJg/s1600/play+sketch.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="320" s5="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_gFSrMi5_B7w/TUmdndelgqI/AAAAAAAADVY/HaPazAj7iJg/s320/play+sketch.jpg" width="240" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As an "extra" to this challenge, try to incorporate a tag or other small element tucked into the front of the card in a space you create as a pocket. If you look at Betsy's card you will see she has a tag tucked in the card front (tied with a bow at the top).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here is my card based on the sketch:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_gFSrMi5_B7w/TUmdrgEjBAI/AAAAAAAADVc/AWHBq6LjaB0/s1600/couch2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="400" s5="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_gFSrMi5_B7w/TUmdrgEjBAI/AAAAAAAADVc/AWHBq6LjaB0/s400/couch2.jpg" width="315" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I used the Library Ledger papers, On My Couch and addition stamp sets, Ticket die and stamp set&amp;nbsp;and Mat Stack 2 stamps (flourish at the end of the Mat Stack 4 die). The couch was overstamped in brown for detail and a heart button was added as a pillow on the couch. The tickets inside my pocket include little "coupon" messages for my hubby on Valentine's Day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We would love to have you play along! I currently do not have a link list to leave open as the Linky Tools we were using is now going to a pay service. It is my turn to do the challenge this week. Its great to be back after such a long break. I can't wait to get back into old routines and maybe some new ones. I don't really make new year's resolutions. But if I did one would be to enjoy and take part in all of the challenges on our blog this year. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;b&gt;This week's challenge is to create a stamped background. This could be using a background stamp or creating your own background with individual stamps. &lt;/b&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;I have seen so many great examples around. I think there are a few over on Nichole's blog (wink)&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Hope you enjoy taking part!! &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Thanks!&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;script src="http://www.linkytools.com/thumbnail_linky_include.aspx?id=66607" type="text/javascript"&gt;&lt;/script&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/184346911812399240-7505547870616595217?l=papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/feeds/7505547870616595217/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=184346911812399240&amp;postID=7505547870616595217&amp;isPopup=true' title='2 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/7505547870616595217'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/7505547870616595217'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/2010/12/creative-backgrounds.html' title='Creative Backgrounds'/><author><name>Adele Fowler</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/09906532643585747591</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='21' height='32' src='http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_geHTateTg7Q/TIddh9cmtDI/AAAAAAAAABk/YBMDWnchrVw/S220/th_1283936622_th_0abba2dcb92128cc2cbec77e81c4e5f6.jpg'/></author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_geHTateTg7Q/TQoUaEWxcqI/AAAAAAAAACI/HoVUGf_06Tk/s72-c/Picture%2B133.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>2</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-184346911812399240.post-168283943188163577</id><published>2010-12-01T07:05:00.000-05:00</published><updated>2010-12-01T07:05:13.134-05:00</updated><title type='text'>A Treat For You</title><content type='html'>&lt;a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ChIlAXbLSwQ/TPXnTRsX8bI/AAAAAAAAAiM/Il06SNKnMJg/s1600/Joyful%2BTreat%2B1.jpg" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"&gt;&lt;img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5545592834529685938" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ChIlAXbLSwQ/TPXnTRsX8bI/AAAAAAAAAiM/Il06SNKnMJg/s320/Joyful%2BTreat%2B1.jpg" style="cursor: pointer; display: block; height: 288px; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; width: 320px;" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;Well, here it is, December 1st! In anticipation of the holiday season I decided to get a bit of a head start and come up with some quick and easy containers to present some small treats in to friends and co-workers. For my container pictured here I used PTI's Favor It Box #2 to die cut some paper from Crate Paper's Snow Day Collection. I added the "joy" die cut to the front of my container, which I found in my stash. The box was finished off with a tag using an image from one of PTI's Holiday Tag sets, layered on top of one of the Limitless Layers dies. Inside are some Lindor truffles and Ghirardelli peppermint bark squares. A fun and inexpensive way to present a small treat to a friend!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;Your challenge is to either create a treat container or decorate a pre-made container with your PTI supplies.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;By the way, in case you were wondering, the felt poinsettias around my treat bag in the picture above are pins I made with my poinsettia Nestabilities and the largest leaf die from the PTI Delightful Dahlia die set. I used Scarlet Jewel and Simply Chartreuse felt from PTI. The red poinsettias use felt I purchased from my local stamp store. These were super easy to make, and they were so popular my Mom ordered six from me! I plan on packaging the pins in some of the Favor It Box #2 containers and handing them out as early holiday gifts to be enjoyed the whole month.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thanks for stopping by! Here is the card you are to CASE:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_L7ql2sTk23A/TOMmVlKxD6I/AAAAAAAAAzg/uU8GawDUB3o/s1600/larkspurs-+Niki+Estes.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_L7ql2sTk23A/TOMmVlKxD6I/AAAAAAAAAzg/uU8GawDUB3o/s320/larkspurs-+Niki+Estes.jpg" width="262" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;I absolutely adore this card. The rich colors, the warm feel, the simple and classic lines. {sigh}&lt;br /&gt;So, that is your task. I do hope you will be able to play.&lt;br /&gt;Here is my CASE of this lovely creation from Niki:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_L7ql2sTk23A/TOMm92_CRNI/AAAAAAAAAzk/vWiH0Tlgi1A/s1600/DSC_7585.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_L7ql2sTk23A/TOMm92_CRNI/AAAAAAAAAzk/vWiH0Tlgi1A/s400/DSC_7585.JPG" width="267" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;Thanks for joining in, and have fun!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;script src="http://www.linkytools.com/thumbnail_linky_include.aspx?id=56838" type="text/javascript"&gt;&lt;/script&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/184346911812399240-7846406242397408100?l=papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/feeds/7846406242397408100/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=184346911812399240&amp;postID=7846406242397408100&amp;isPopup=true' title='3 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/7846406242397408100'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/7846406242397408100'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/2010/11/just-in-case.html' title='Just In CASE'/><author><name>Kay</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/03319643159118797186</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='31' height='21' src='http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_L7ql2sTk23A/SYj2h96diVI/AAAAAAAAAAM/EZO_q76C_84/S220/DSC_0695.JPG'/></author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_L7ql2sTk23A/TOMmVlKxD6I/AAAAAAAAAzg/uU8GawDUB3o/s72-c/larkspurs-+Niki+Estes.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>3</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-184346911812399240.post-870014324406053396</id><published>2010-11-03T00:00:00.001-04:00</published><updated>2010-11-03T00:00:03.443-04:00</updated><title type='text'>Challenge No. 4 - No More Layers!</title><content type='html'>Hello and welcome to my first ever challenge! I am excited to be hosting this week, and had a lot of ideas rolling around... I had lots of time to come up with something, and kept thinking of all sorts of elaborate schemes... then I was working on my card, and it hit me - THIS is a challenge.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So let's get to it! This week's challenge is to create a card without using any layers. No ribbon, no mattes, no DP adhered to your card base... I added some small rhinestones to mine, and I'll allow it because they required no adhesive, and they are still the same layer as the base, right?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here is my card:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_cbEq7XOrrEg/TM8PEJ1L4CI/AAAAAAAAA4g/AG3n0NwQWss/s1600/Lightbox+007.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_cbEq7XOrrEg/TM8PEJ1L4CI/AAAAAAAAA4g/AG3n0NwQWss/s400/Lightbox+007.jpg" width="400" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You have 2 weeks to join in the fun, I can't wait to see what you come up with!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Post your links here:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;script src="http://www.linkytools.com/thumbnail_linky_include.aspx?id=53652" type="text/javascript"&gt;&lt;/script&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/184346911812399240-870014324406053396?l=papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/feeds/870014324406053396/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=184346911812399240&amp;postID=870014324406053396&amp;isPopup=true' title='5 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/870014324406053396'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/870014324406053396'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/2010/11/challenge-no-4-no-more-layers.html' title='Challenge No. 4 - No More Layers!'/><author><name>Meredith MacRitchie</name><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='27' height='32' src='http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xz41Mq7P8Qg/Tb79e9vAg9I/AAAAAAAABNc/5tdnGBsfEko/s220/Avatar.JPG'/></author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_cbEq7XOrrEg/TM8PEJ1L4CI/AAAAAAAAA4g/AG3n0NwQWss/s72-c/Lightbox+007.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>5</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-184346911812399240.post-1932144589661767339</id><published>2010-10-20T06:00:00.011-04:00</published><updated>2010-10-26T18:15:24.131-04:00</updated><title type='text'>Papertrey Playhouse Challenge #3</title><content type='html'>Hello Wednesday morning!&amp;nbsp; And welcome to Papertrey Playhouse's third challenge.&amp;nbsp; And the first one I've ever come up with.&amp;nbsp; I have to admit I was starting to get a little stressed out about it.&amp;nbsp; Would it be interesting? Would anyone want to play along? And so on.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One of the best things I know to do when I start getting stuck is to go look for inspiration.&amp;nbsp; So that's what I did.&amp;nbsp; I started on &lt;a href="http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/"&gt;Nichole's blog&lt;/a&gt; and saw all of the amazing morning after cards she posted.&amp;nbsp; Then I went to the various &lt;a href="http://forum.papertreyink.com/forum/gallery2.php?g2_itemId=3952"&gt;new release galleries&lt;/a&gt;.&amp;nbsp; And somehow looking at all of the beautiful cards it came on me.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, for our third challenge I'd like to see your PTI creations that feature tags.&amp;nbsp; Big ones.&amp;nbsp; Small ones.&amp;nbsp; Round ones.&amp;nbsp; Fancy shaped ones.&amp;nbsp; Any kind of tag you like.&amp;nbsp; Just make sure there's a tag on your card.&amp;nbsp; As an added twist your card should be inspired by one of the PTI Design Team.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here's the one I did.&amp;nbsp; I channeled Mish, grabbed up some scraps - literally, all pieces of this card are scraps.&amp;nbsp; You can read the details about it on &lt;a href="http://redcarproductions.blogspot.com/"&gt;my blog&lt;/a&gt; if you like - and started playing with them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_qsZ2e6UEAfU/TLzzDnd5EhI/AAAAAAAAAIw/ZLGo8MndE9U/s1600/PTPH+3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_qsZ2e6UEAfU/TLzzDnd5EhI/AAAAAAAAAIw/ZLGo8MndE9U/s400/PTPH+3.jpg" width="246" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;You've got two weeks to play along and post your card.&amp;nbsp; And just think, you're Oct new release goodies will likely arrive in time for you to use them for this challenge.&amp;nbsp; Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Krista&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Post your card next!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;script src="http://www.linkytools.com/thumbnail_linky_include.aspx?id=52434" type="text/javascript"&gt;&lt;/script&gt;&lt;div class="blogger-post-footer"&gt;&lt;img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/184346911812399240-1932144589661767339?l=papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com' alt='' /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</content><link rel='replies' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/feeds/1932144589661767339/comments/default' title='Post Comments'/><link rel='replies' type='text/html' href='http://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=184346911812399240&amp;postID=1932144589661767339&amp;isPopup=true' title='8 Comments'/><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/1932144589661767339'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/184346911812399240/posts/default/1932144589661767339'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://papertreyplayhouse.blogspot.com/2010/10/papertrey-playhouse-challenge-3.html' title='Papertrey Playhouse Challenge #3'/><author><name>Krista</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/02027331744116626237</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='32' height='23' src='http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2pRfb6rpBW0/Tvv_O6KI8BI/AAAAAAAAApE/Nae7W3uw9tI/s220/RCP%2BLogo%2Bsmall%2B2%2Bjpg.jpg'/></author><media:thumbnail xmlns:media='http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/' url='http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_qsZ2e6UEAfU/TLzzDnd5EhI/AAAAAAAAAIw/ZLGo8MndE9U/s72-c/PTPH+3.jpg' height='72' width='72'/><thr:total>8</thr:total></entry><entry><id>tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-184346911812399240.post-3753947963511155154</id><published>2010-10-06T07:00:00.002-04:00</published><updated>2010-10-06T08:20:37.664-04:00</updated><title type='text'>Challenge #2 - Pop Of Color</title><content type='html'>Hello everyone and welcome to the second challenge at the Papertrey Playhouse!! I am so excited to be hosting this challenge and I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am often inspired by color combinations found in photography throughout blog-land, and that is where I came up with the inspiration for this challenge. To play along all you have to do is use Black and White with a Pop of Color. I chose pink, but I didn't want to limit anyone who didn't LOVE pink like I do, to use it. So the color choice is yours. Here is a sample...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_lnM2HI_PB5U/TKu3M1QpmyI/AAAAAAAAAUg/7VIXJ5pycek/s1600/IMG_2741a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"&gt;&lt;img border="0" height="320" px="true" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_lnM2HI_PB5U/TKu3M1QpmyI/AAAAAAAAAUg/7VIXJ5pycek/s320/IMG_2741a.jpg" width="244" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/div&gt;All the details for this card, the inspiration for the challenge, as well as two other projects that I created based on the inspiration, can be found on my &lt;a href="http://sideshowdeb.blogspot.com/2010/10/papertrey-playhouse-challenge-2.html"&gt;blog&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I hope you will play along with us on this challenge.
